1. Structure:

The water adding system is a device for automatically filling electrolyte and water. When filling water, it will automatically shut down when the liquid level reaches the rated height. At the same time, the gas generated during charging is discharged from the vent hole on the liquid injection plug.

2. Application: This water injection system is applied to traction batteries on transport vehicles

3. Function:

There is a float on the water injection plug, which floats up with the rise of the liquid level during the process of adding water, and automatically closes the water injection port when the liquid level reaches the rated liquid level.

In order to use the water injection system correctly, please pay attention to the following items:

3.1 Manual or automatic water injection:

Soon after the battery is fully charged, the electrolyte in the battery is mixed evenly and is in a stable state, and the water injection operation starts.

3.2 If manual water injection is used, it is required to inject water once a week.

3.3 If automatic water injection is used, the charger will automatically close the water injection system in time after automatic water injection.

3.4 If the battery is working in multiple shifts or under a high temperature condition, the interval between adding water should be appropriately shortened.

3.5 Water injection time:

The length of water injection time depends on the size of the load during use and the temperature rise of the battery. Generally speaking, the whole process of adding water takes 3 minutes. After adding water, manually separate the water pipe from the battery.

3.6 Working pressure;

The water pressure is between 0.2-0.6bar. (There must be a height difference of at least 2M from the top of the battery to the bottom of the water filling container)

3.7 cleaning;

The injected distilled water must meet the requirements. Water storage containers and water pipes must be cleaned and kept tidy.

3.8 The rubber tube on the battery:

The rubber tubes on the battery are arranged according to the wiring of the electrode units that have been arranged, and unauthorized modification is not allowed.

3.9 Working temperature;

The working limit temperature of the lead-acid battery is 55°C. If the temperature exceeds this temperature, the battery will be damaged, and the load of the water injection system will be increased in a short time.

Notice! For batteries with an automatic water filling system, the room temperature should be higher than 0°C when used in winter, otherwise, the water filling system will not work properly due to freezing.

3.10 Flow monitor:

To monitor the filling process, a flow monitor is installed on the filling pipe. The injected water spins the built-in turbine. When the water is filled, all the buoys float up to close the filling plug, and the built-in turbine stops rotating, indicating that the water filling process is over.

3.11 Automatic liquid injection plug floating up and down:

Only use the matching automatic filling plug on the battery, otherwise the battery may be damaged.
