Charging operation method of external charger:

After opening the cover of the battery box, firstly, unplug the charging plug of the battery from the main circuit;

The fourth step is to turn on the power switch of the charger; start charging after a few seconds. 1. The unused battery should be initially charged before use, that is, the first charge. Before the initial charging, the surface of the battery should be cleaned to check whether there is any damage and ensure a reliable connection.

2. Open the gas cap.

3. Under the condition that the charging equipment can work normally, the density will be 1.260±0.005 (25°C) sulfuric acid electrolyte with a temperature lower than 30°C is poured into the battery, and the liquid level is 15-25 (mm) higher than the protective plate. In order to reduce the temperature rise of the electrolyte due to the chemical reaction and allow the electrolyte to fully penetrate into the plate and the pores of the separator, the battery needs to stand for 3 to 4 hours, not more than 8 hours. The initial charge can only be carried out when the liquid temperature drops below 35°C. (If necessary, cool down in the cold water tank) After standing still, the liquid level drops and the electrolyte should be replenished.

4. The sulfuric acid electrolyte is made of battery sulfuric acid and distilled water that meet the national standard GB4554-84. Do not use industrial sulfuric acid or tap water instead. The standard temperature (25°C) density of the electrolyte is converted according to the following formula.

D25=Dt+0.0007(t-25)

In the formula: D25: electrolyte density at 25°C.

Dt: measured density of the electrolyte at t°C.

t: Electrolyte temperature at which density is measured.

5. Wipe off the electrolyte splashed on the surface of the battery, connect the positive and negative poles of the battery pack to the positive and negative terminals of the DC power supply (charger) respectively, and connect the power supply; first charge with 30A (phase ① current), Charge until the voltage reaches 28.8V (12×2.4V=28.8V), use the 2nd stage 15A current to continue charging. During the charging process, the temperature of the electrolyte should not exceed 45°C. When it is close to 45°C, the charging current should be halved or the charging should be suspended; the charging should not be continued until the liquid temperature drops below 35°C. But need to prolong the charging time appropriately.

6. Basis for sufficient charging: In stage ②, charge until the voltage reaches 31.2V (12×2.6V=31.2V), the voltage change is not more than 0.005 (V); the electrolyte density reaches 1.280±0.005 (25°C), when there is no obvious change within 2 hours and fine bubbles occur violently, the battery is considered to be fully charged. The charging power is 4 to 5 times of the rated capacity, and the charging time is about 70 hours.

7. In order to accurately control the content of sulfuric acid in the electrolyte, check the density of the electrolyte of each battery at the end of charging; Adjust the liquid density and liquid level to the specified value.

8. After the initial charging, clean the surface of the battery and close the flip cover of the flip-type liquid hole plug before putting it into use.
