Secrets of electric forklift manufacturers: maintenance secrets of auxiliary power batteries for construction machinery

The battery is an auxiliary power source for construction machinery. During driving, the engine provides power to the electrical equipment and charges the battery. The battery provides starting current when the construction machinery is started. Here are some tips for maintenance of construction machinery batteries: 1. Keep a certain height of electrolyte level According to the requirements of use, the electrolyte level should be 10-15mm higher than the electrode plate. When checking, first use a glass tube with an inner diameter of 4-6mm and a length of about 150mm, and insert it vertically into the filling port until it touches the edge of the electrode plate, and then use your index finger to press the height of the electrolyte in the glass tube to be the electrolyte level in the battery. Higher than the height of the plate. After the measurement, put the electrolyte in the glass tube back. If the liquid level is not high enough, you should add distilled water in time. Never add spring water, river water, or tap water, let alone add dilute sulfuric acid, otherwise the electrolyte density will increase and the electrode will be damaged. board. It should also be noted that distilled water should be added when the battery is in a charged state to ensure that the electrolyte mixes more evenly; the liquid level should not be too high to prevent electrolyte overflow during charging and discharging. 2. Remove the yellow and white paste on the cover in time. The yellow and white paste on the battery cover is caused by the splash of sulfuric acid solution around the battery cover and the pole post, which causes the electrode post to be electrochemically corroded. Among them, the white substance is lead sulfate and the yellow substance is iron sulfate, which is very corrosive and has a high resistance. If it is in contact with the wire, it will form a large contact resistance and cause poor conduction. For this reason, alkaline water should be used frequently, and cotton yarn soaked in 10% soda water or 10% ammonia solution can also be used to clean the electrolyte splashed from the battery shell and cover, so that the surface is always neutral. If there is oxide in the gap between the pole and the wire joint, scrape it with a tool. 3. Regular supplementary charging. Under normal circumstances, the discharged battery should be charged within 24 hours; for the battery on the stopped machine (or large equipment that is not in use), it must be supplemented once a month; The battery should be removed every two months for supplementary charging to maintain the construction machinery battery. Four. Regularly check the density of the electrolyte The density of the electrolyte must be adapted to the region and season. According to practical experience, in most areas of my country (except severe cold areas) before and after summer, the relative density of the electrolyte of the newly charged battery can reach 1.20~1.25g/m3. When the used battery is recharged, the relative density of the electrolyte should be maintained. In 1.15 ~ 1.18g/cubic meter. The relative density of electrolyte should be gradually increased from 1.18g/cubic meter to 1.25g/cubic meter in autumn, and adjusted to 1.285g/cubic meter in winter, and then gradually add distilled water during the Spring Festival to lower the relative density, and adjust with seasonal changes. Electrolyte density, maintenance of construction machinery batteries. 5. How to maintain the battery of construction machinery in winter 1. Always keep the battery in a fully charged state. To prevent the relative density of the electrolyte from falling and freezing, to prevent the shell from cracking, the plate bending and the active material falling off. 2. The relative density of the electrolyte should be as low as possible without freezing. 3. Check the level of battery electrolyte before leaving the car every day and add distilled water if necessary. Adding distilled water to the battery can only be carried out in a fully charged state, so that the distilled water is mixed with the electrolyte faster to reduce the possibility of the distilled water freezing. 4. Due to the decrease of battery capacity in winter, the engine should be warmed up before cold start. The starting motor should not exceed 5s each time, and the interval between each start should not be less than 15s. 5. The battery should be kept warm when parking for a long time. 6. u200bu200bClean up the battery indicating debris frequently and keep the surface of the battery clean. 7. Always check whether the electrode pile chuck of the battery is loose or not. If there is any looseness, tighten it in time.
