Precautions for the installation of the skeleton self-tightening rubber oil seal: (1) Before installing the oil seal, check whether the surface of the shaft journal is too rough, whether there are scars, especially whether there is any along the shaft Longer scars in the direction. If the surface of the journal is too rough, it is easy to damage the oil seal or accelerate the wear of the lip, destroying its sealing performance. If the surface of the shaft journal causes serious bludgeoning scars due to improper disassembly and assembly, the oil seal lip and the shaft journal surface will not fit tightly, causing oil leakage. In the above two cases, the scar can be re-turned on the lathe according to the specified journal size after surfacing welding, or replaced with a new shaft. Because the lip can only be sealed in one direction, if the oil seal is reversed, it will inevitably cause oil leakage, weakening of the sealing effect or failure. Avoid crooking the oil seal or banging it on the surface of the oil seal with a hammer or other tools, otherwise it is easy to cause damage to the oil seal. (4) During the installation process, keep the oil seal (especially the lip part) and the shaft neck part clean, and be careful not to make the oil seal self-tightening spring jump out of the spring groove. If the self-tightening spring is slack and the elasticity is weakened, it can be cut off according to the situation, and the two ends can be connected firmly to continue using. 2. Matters needing attention in the installation of rubber water blocking ring The water blocking ring of the cylinder liner is an 'o' shaped rubber piece with a circular cross section. Compared with the skeleton oil seal, the structure is simple, and there is neither a skeleton nor a self-tightening spring. Rely on the flexibility and elasticity of the rubber itself for sealing. If installed improperly, a large amount of cooling water in the water jacket will seep into the crankcase, causing deterioration of engine oil, deterioration of lubrication quality, aggravating the wear of all moving parts of the engine, and even causing major failures such as bush burning and shaft holding. Wrap a layer of asbestos rope at the bottom of the water seal groove, apply water-resistant calcium-based grease, and then put the water blocking ring into the water seal groove, and then press the cylinder liner into the body seat hole. (2) If the water blocking ring is too thick or the water seal groove of the cylinder liner is too shallow, after the water blocking ring is installed, the arc surface is too high. At this time, not only the installation of the cylinder liner is difficult, but the rubber water seal may be damaged or even squeezed. For the cylinder liner, the rubber water seal can be evenly polished with emery cloth until it protrudes to a suitable height after being installed in the water seal groove. Then apply grease on the surface of the rubber ring to press the cylinder liner into the body seat hole.
