1. Reasons for improvement The traditional 12t lithium pallet truck
brake system is mainly composed of air compressor 1, oil-water separator combination valve 2, air storage tank 3, pressure switch 4, air brake valve 5, brake light switch 6, air afterburner 7, The left caliper disc brake 8, the right caliper disc brake 9, and the liquid storage tank 10 are composed as shown in Fig. 1. The power of the air compressor 1 is taken from the engine. When the engine is running, it drives the air compressor 1 to rotate, so that the air compressor 1 outputs compressed air. The compressed air enters the air storage tank 3 after passing through the oil-water separator combination valve 2. When the pressure of the compressed air is greater than 0.75 MPa, the oil-water separator combination valve 2 is automatically vented to keep the pressure of the air storage tank 3 within 0.75 MPa. The pressure switch 4 is used to detect the air pressure in the air storage tank 3. When the pressure reaches 0.75 MPa, the pressure switch 4 sends out an electric signal, and the low air pressure alarm buzzer stops sounding, prompting the driver to drive. When the driver steps on the air brake valve 5, compressed air enters the cylinder of the air booster pump 7 from the air outlet of the air brake valve 5, pushing the cylinder piston to move to the right, and driving the brake fluid output in the hydraulic cylinder. The brake fluid is supplied to the left caliper disc brake 8 and the right caliper disc brake 9 through pipelines to produce a braking effect. The piston area of u200bu200bthe air booster pump 7 cylinder is much larger than the piston area of u200bu200bthe hydraulic cylinder, and the boosting effect it produces can increase the pressure of the brake fluid to 13MPa. The liquid storage tank 10 is used to replenish the brake fluid for the hydraulic cylinder of the air booster pump 7. The system mainly has the following two defects: First, there is only one air booster pump in the braking system. If the pump is suddenly damaged during operation, the whole vehicle will not be braked, which is dangerous. The second is that the brake fluid capacity of a single air afterburner pump is too small. When the forklift works for a long time, the brake fluid heats up quickly, and the brake fluid may even boil and overflow from the reservoir 10. When the brake fluid is reduced, the braking performance will decrease, which will affect the driving safety of the lithium pallet truck. 2. Improvement measures The improvement measure is to add an air booster pump and an oil storage tank in the braking system. After the improvement, there are 2 air afterburner pumps and 2 liquid storage tanks in the brake system, namely, air afterburner pumps 7, 10 and liquid storage tanks 11, 12, as shown in Figure 2. The liquid outlet pipes of the two air booster pumps 7, 10 are cross-connected with the left brake 8 and the right brake 9, respectively, and act on the two brake cylinders of the left and right caliper disc brakes respectively. Even if one air afterburner pump is damaged, the braking system can still play a braking role, thereby improving the safety of the lithium pallet truck brake. In order to reduce the length of the brake pipeline and make the brake more sensitive, the air booster pumps 7, 10 are installed on the main beam of the forklift. The liquid storage tanks 11 and 12 are installed in the cab and connected to the air booster pumps 7, 10 through a long rubber tube, so that the driver can easily observe the liquid level in the liquid storage tank. Increasing the fluid storage tank can increase the brake fluid capacity and reduce the excessive temperature rise of the brake fluid. Improved 12t forklift brake system, the braking distance is shorter, the response is more sensitive, and the work is more reliable.
